According to new information, this new-class cutter for the CCG has just been launched at Huangpu-Wenchong.

What's more: This 1500-2000-ton cutter likely features not just 16V270 diesel engines in CODAD propulsion system, but also pump-jets (similar to the ones on the Hai Kuai #1). There is also likely the export version of the SR2402C radar being mounted on the top mast.

The post-launch photos of the cutter should appear soon.

In the meantime, here's hoping that Hai Kuai #1 will get retrofitted for CCG use in the future as well, instead of just being left moored at Huangpu-Wenchong for many years to come/scrapped.

While this particular new cutter launched at Huangpu-Wenchong is not confirmed to feature pump-jets - There's one new cutter launched at Hudong-Zhonghua which is confirmed to be the case:

Notice the stern section.

4x pump-jets and 4x smaller exhaust holes (CODAD).
