Lieutenant General
We should see 3402 soon that would make 4 very capable vessels of that class
Well, techinally speaking, there is the Yuzheng 88....
Further a 3,000 ton cutter
I believe I see to two mounting points for Russian 30mm CIWS on top of the deck house in front of the bridge.
While no picture of this 12,000 tonne is made public yet but according to Chinese sources, it will be an enlarged version of this 4,000 tonne problem that is entering service. It will be armed by a single 76mm mount plus two 30mm twins, a large helicopter facilities to accommodate two Z-8s and a top speed of 25 knots.

Hmmm...sounds more and more like a larger, but similar vessel to the large, 9,300 ton, Japanese cutters.china defense blog made a post about the 12,000 ton "cutter"...
Aviation facilities for two Z-8s suggests to me a relatively decently sized flight deck and hangar. A 76mm gun and two 30mm twins are relatively moderate for a vessel of that size, but not unexpected, after all, it is still a "law enforcement" vessel.
How many cutters does the Chinese Coast guard now have ? Isn't this becoming overkill ?
