Not even close if USA had such accurate intel then why did they bomb PRC embassy in Belgrade in 1999? They pay billion dollars for there defence systems, and the reason for bombing was old map??? What do they do with all the money then???

And if it didnt happen? then why doesnt china test its ICBM´s like the USA and Russia do? the last confirmed one was in 2006.

Basically nobody know what went wrong out there. There are many conspiracy theories floating around, all I know is that there was a report from the CIA or was it the department that draw out the maps for the US saying that they vow that their map was updated and not old (I couldn't seemed to find that report anymore.)

the Americans said one smart thing about the belgrade bombing and it wasnt even the CIA who said it, i think someone in the state department said to a Chinese agent "look, if we were just making up excuses, we would have came up with something better than the map". even the Chinese agents smiled at that one. .powell did better than tenet in convincing the world about the WMD and he didnt even support the damn war lol.

Actually, should we not further dwell into the issue of Belgrade Bombing? There are many conspiracy theories behind this thing and once touch, might become a flame war. There is only two references that I would like to post here... and they did mentioned some suspicions and might provide us with some insight as to why the place was bombed and please note, it has nothing to do with the intelligence of NATO and US. (Mod. if you think this is inappropriate, please remove the links or this post. Thanks.)

What happened to the poor ´whipping boy´ being fired by the CIA in the aftermath of the Belgrade Embassy incident??

Seems he completely vanished from the scene..., perhaps playing the role of the scapegoat was the most profitable decision of his entire life.:D

I guess you guys missed the news about he was assassinated (alone with his wife?) by unknown gunmen in a park after he was retired. This was in the news either last year or 2008.

Tres, I have to admit this is indeed news for me. :confused: Incidentally the sacked ´mid level career officer´ was not publicly identified back in 2000 and I have ever since regarded the affair as the usual ´cover up and blame a scapegoat´ stunt the CIA inevitably has to perform if the administration or the military have f***** something up.

Nevertheless (if it's true...:cool:) they let him at least die as a man ;), evidently in contrast to poor Bruce Ivins who happened ´being committed suicide´ :D by a nice lethal cocktail of Tylenol and codeine just a day before the FBI wanted to file criminal charges against him for the 2001 Anthrax terror attacks.

Phew..., just so lucky to avoid those deadly dangerous stairs in the IAEA headquarters in Vienna...:rofl:
