(Defensa.com) The Airbus group will invest 55 million dollars to build a plant in Porto Alegre. The announcement was made by Mayor Jose Fortunati, after meeting with the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, José Ivo Sartori. According to local sources, the factory would be located in the Fourth District, the central area of the gaucho capital. The contract should be signed in 2015 and the start of operations is planned throughout 2016. The unit will produce public safety equipment.
