Its romured that the range of the next Moskit is 220 KM. But weather its sea-skimming or high altitude remainst to be seen. So don't hold your breath.it will loose out due to the extended sea-skimming range of Sunburn and more importantly better C&C + radar. After all, Rajput is a smaller ship, so the radar and command center you can put on it is not the same as what you can put on 956
lol, that's exactly why I don't see China purchasing any more sovernmey. Actually, PLAN has also went on quite an upgrade program some of the older DDGs. Many of them are using YJ-83 launchers and HHQ-7 for self defense now.jatt said:Its romured that the range of the next Moskit is 220 KM. And of course the Sovernmey has a better C&C because it is a newer design. But a Rajput upgraded would still be a foating bucket loaded with heavy firepower. The upgrade is slow. I'm speculating that the other Rajputs are being upgraded with VLS Barhmos. After all they have to be somewhere.
I figure the PLAN is paying a hefty billion for Sovernmeys while the InN gets these upgrades at a quarter or less.
And as for your question they will be fitted by removing a Styx cell and replacing it with 2 Barhmos. Do that to all for and you get 8 inclined Barhmos. Remove the Goa launchers and replace them with 8 VLS Barhmos. Total is 16.
