Behind the China Missile Hype

@Bltizo
Is this what it's coming down to then? Disbelief simply stemming from a notion of Chinese incompetence?
Just for the record, many decades of research and development WILL have gone into this thing.

This "Chinese incompetence" thing is YOUR WORDS not mine

Does anyone notice how the subject of plasma disruption of DF-21D sensors and communications is being carefully avoided in this discussion?

So I will raise it again: How will the DF-21 cope with the PLASMA disruption of communication and sensor operations while searching for the CVN and traveling at mach 10 ? ?

Everybody seems very quiet on the Plasma subject. And it is a question that must be answered if the DF-21 is to be considered a viable weapon concept.

No? Because it's not an issue??

Ok I'm just going to clarify this. By "searching" you mean "guiding itself on to the carrier" right?? Because we've already established midcourse guidance will put it on top of the CVBG and terminal guidance + MaRV ala pershing II will guide it onto the CVN itself.

Everybody seems very quiet on the Plasma subject. And it is a question that must be answered if the DF-21 is to be considered a viable weapon concept.

No one's being quiet about it, you're just not smelling the cheese.

Iskander has a terminal velocity of some mach 6, and is able to use terminal optical guidance well and true. Pershing II, mach 8, active radar from 70s technology. It's now the 2010s. DF-21D will have a terminal velocity of mach 10. There's your answer.

See how you conveniently forget? I brought up plasma. See how you spin and ignore what doesn't work for you?

@BlitzoNo? Because it's not an issue??

If you cannot locate the CVN because plasma is blinding your sensors it is a real problem and renders the DF-21 useless

If you cannot receive datalink updates because the plasma at Mach 10 is impenetrable your ASBM is useless

Here learn about plasma and try and convince yourself that it is not a problem

Reentry communications blackouts

The communications blackouts that affect spacecraft re-entering the Earth's atmosphere, which are also known as radio blackouts, ionization blackouts, or reentry blackouts, are caused by an envelope of ionized air around the craft, created by the heat from the compression of the atmosphere by the craft. The ionized air interferes with radio signals. For the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo spacecraft, such communications blackouts lasted for several minutes. Gemini 2, for example, endured such a blackout for four minutes, beginning at 9 minutes 5 seconds into the flight.

Fine that you brought it up. So how will the DF-21 address the plasma problem?

It's simple. Plasma only occurs at certain moments not 100% of its journey. So how does any nuclear warhead find it's target according to how you say plasma works? How does your mach 10 ABM operate with all that plasma? Do the laws of your physics change for your side only? For the ASBM... plasma will be gone before terminal phase. Too bad!

The M-X Peacekeeper was said if you target the pitcher's mound of a baseball diamond, it'll hit the ballpark. According to you that wouldn't happen. Another one of your arguments has failed.

Hi
Yeah
Can't you see my posts where I answer your questions? :)

You have not answered the question. No one has answered the question. There are ideas but noone has come up with a workable solution for the plasma blackout.

So at this time DF-21 is an interesting concept but fails the operational test
