Aircraft Carriers III

Amen!! Amen!! and AMEN! In fact we can say for a fact that penny pinchers and politicians, hoping to make a name for themselves, have deliberately and continue to deliberately mislead and lie to the American Public. The result of that is that this great republic continues to squander and "sell down the River" these astoundingly effective, and singularly advanced weapons that are game changers and keep this nation safe.

This is able to happen because the American John Q Publik, remains ignorant and ill informed? and mislead by those treasonous "bastards", who promise John Q the moon, if he will only stik his or more likely her hand out and let the body "politik" fill it, from "Santa's" magic bag of tricks. Romney's 47% who suck the Republic dry, while contributing little or nothing to this great nation.

... the cost estimate in my view defy basic common sense at best and is misfeasance at worst.
Moving forward, we know that the bulk of the cost growth came exactly from build and integration difficulties as a result of the new technologies.

Brumby, AFB, the American fellows here don't care much about the U. S. Government Accountability Office, do they? Attaching a Like to your posts, I wish you a Merry Christmas!

US Defense Secretary Carter Visits French Aircraft Carrier Charles De Gaulle in Persian Gulf
l67x3DO.jpg

US Defense Secretary Ash Carter spoke with French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian yesterday before visiting the French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle for the first time. The flagship of the French Navy is now stationed in the Persian Gulf and launching strikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant.
...
“Speaking as an American, it is magnificent for me to be out here on this strong ship with a strong ally like France. France is … America's oldest friend and ally. We're very proud to be your friend and your ally,” Carter said.

NO SIR! they are sent by the Liar in Chief, and his Komrade's to spy on and undermine those whose heart is to defend this great nation! They report back to these LIARs, and give them the "ammunition" to hurt those, who are desperately trying to defend this Nation, and those who earnestly look to her for leadership.

Master Brumby has provided us a list of those implements of peace that the GAO has killed and KUT OFF, and make no mistake, they are indeed "implements of peace. The Bible says that had the Goodman of the House known when the "thief" was coming, he would have armed himself, and defended his house!

Lockheed, McDonald Douglas, Northrup, Boeing, Chance-Vought, those names are synonymous with Colt, Smith and Wesson, and John Moses Browning, what if those idiots at the GAO and their Masters had killed the 1911 Colt? or the M-16, not perfect weapons, but lots better than the "bad guys"??

Merry Christmas Bruda's so while I love these implements of freedom, my Hope cometh from the LORD!

Back on topic: Long Live the Ford! and all her sisters! and long live the United States of America!

the scriptures also remind us to "count the cost" nothing wrong with that, and we should "count the cost", but the cost of not defending freedom, is to lose it, and that my friend is worth everything!

So the Ford, the F-22, they will do the do, Zumwalt will as well, and there is nothing under the sea, like the "Seawolf". The Ford is full of high zoot tech, and hardware, like fifth gen fighter aircraft, it IS EXPENSIVE, but not as expensive as losing the fight, just my two cents. AFB

Several US program get problems realy expensive, too ... Seawolf yes but had started in the Cold War time, Ford also but cheaper to maintain , F-35 definitely too complex in more a fighter for 3 services and each service undergoes the wishes of others...

But Zumwalt ofc unusual, look ... but really an error only 3 ships x 3/4 bill $ for that USN have yet 6 powerful Burke in service, first class destroyers.

But it is no new USA services want too sophisticated weapons, too expensive in general especialy USAF.

With futur Bomber seems they have understand and on a better way...

great post, my Brother in Christ, I think we view the Ford-class procurement-process differently, you're on Navy side, I'm on GAO side, as we both indicated in our posts, and I finish with mentioning I had been exempt from the Income Tax while working in the US, which anyway is many years ago, so my opinion really doesn't matter and actually is just kibitzing
Merry Christmas again!

Not a problem, and even if they were as pure as the wind driven snow?? (they are political hacks), they don't necessarily understand the threat, wouldn't know what to do about it if they did? They are "policy wonks" and they have wonky thinking. Lots of cops who can opt to carry something special instead of their dime store glock???? that is ugly, have large magazine capacity and are cheap. There is a difference, a forged 1911 can be "dolled up" to suit yourself, stag handles, pearl handles, a thing of beauty, and a tool you trust your life to?

The thing is a better tool lasts longer and ultimately as in the case of the F-22, will pay back dividends, the bean counter will never get, because he or she is never gonna be staring down the barrel of somebody else's AAM.

the truth is the US defense contractors have given us superior tools, looking to Lochheed, the C-130 has been and continues to be a very good bang for the buck.
