Wow, they claimed that this 99A2 MBT is so upgraded that it could be considered a whole new type of MBT
China defense mashup isn't the most reliable chinese military source, but army technology.com says something similar about the Type 99A2 as well.
It's a shame we probably won't be able to see this tank in this year's parade =(

99A2 tank should be 99G, it will attend the parade. and Xinhua News reported there will be AEW aircraft attend parade.

That's not the Type 99G, it you're referring to that 'new tank'.
Yeah, the picture in the link looks like just the basic Type 99 (if there even is a Type 99G or A2 or whatever), apparently the Type 99G is supposed to have a bigger/modified turret and APS. In the picture it doesn't any differences.
If the pictures we've seen of the PLA practicing for the march is anything to go by for the real thing, then it's not likely the Type 99G will be seen this year, because in the pictures of PLA tanks so far, we've seen only Type 99 and 96G

99 tank attend the parade may not call 99G, but Kanwa said type 99 tank up to now already have many times upgrade. don't forget engine is important, in 2003,the 99 tank head engineer told the report that the overall quality of 99 tank already entered the world's top three,but only engine not satisfaction,he said there would be new engine coming soon.we just forget those pictures, whatever Sina.com or China defense mashup they only can show the old pictures, importance is we just notice the articles. however I don't belive 99G or 99A2( this name is U.S rule) will have 140mm gun, becaurse the future Korea tank will only use 120mm gun.
about 99A2 a recent widely circulated in the U.S. military media.
