It has been mention in different forums including this one that the Chinese government recruited men and women of a certain height, stature and appearance to perform in the 60th Anniversary National Day parade scheduled for October 1st. They are officially part of a "special militia". The persons you see marching about have been doing so since May. They are sequestered on a little used airstrip near Beijing. the troops will be mustered out of the milita after the parade. Reminder..It's just a parade.

In my opinion the confusion comes from referring to these militia members as "Special Forces". Their specialty is marching...No more no less. Nothing wrong with that. It is just a parade.

I still don't understand the point of the camo if they're just going to keep the brilliant white wall tires, big red insignias and bold white lettering on all of their vehicles anyway. .

Gents, let's knock off the useless discussion about what I shall refer to as the "marching militia" . AssasinsMace & myself posted a nice link about those "forces" Let's leave it at that. Shall we?? Afterall >>> It's just a parade.

no, well they have not in the past. they will say "this is a surface to air missile, this is a howitzer" etc...you know, stuff that ppl who dont usually pay attention to military stuff will find useful

but for this one i guess for some of the "star" weapons like J-10 they'll identify it.
