Indeed. Helping Pakistan develop is a strategic decision that China has taken long time ago.
Nevermind Pakistan's politics, as long as it is not a full US vassal, China will keep supporting it and trying to make it richer and stronger.

The issue I have is that due to its unstable political system, China's help can't do as much as it could in a stable country

Pakistan has made a strategic decision to ally with China, that all factions and institutions agree on.

He had a negative CPEC impact but he changed Hus mind afterwards.

As for "favourite of the western world", sure. That's why he was couped by the US...
He is loved by the West and The US and is their puppet. He is tasked with destabilizing Pakistan and putting Army and people against each other. Also he is an Agenda Contributor of World Economic Forum in Pakistan.

Unless anyone here is from Pakistan or has actually spent time in Pakistan or keeps an eye on Pakistani politics; sorry to say but all of you know jack about Pakistan or Pak politics.

There are several members from Pakistan here and I think we would all appreciate their input in understanding the situation.

Imran Khan was indeed approved by the West when he came into power. He was basically an internationally known media personality because of being a cricket player when he was younger. He did delay CPEC as he decided to review all existing deals when he came in. But the more time he was in power, the more CPEC deals were accepted by his government, and when it became obvious he was more interested in Pakistan's own national economic interest than on placating Western interests, like when he went to Russia to negotiate food purchases, then was the last straw to the West I guess.

It is the same situation with Aung San Su Kii. Anyone truly acting within the interest of their nation knows that cooperation with China is unavoidable regardless of origin.
