He definitely did not flick the puck on purpose. I saw a camera footage of it in another angle, one Canadian behind the Chinese player hit his hands with his knees, which was holding the puck, causing it to launch forward.

Exactly. At those speeds and concentration it's completely impossible to do it even if he wanted to. And it makes no sense to do it since he would get taken down in the fall as well (which was exactly what happened)

That's why I said it's misleading. Reddit posting videos that are intentionally slowed down like crazy and taken from a misleading angle
