Jesus will be resurrected before anyone can help the Chinese men's team grow a pair. In fact, if China sends the women's team into the Men's qualifiers, they would have gotten better results.

At the rate we are going... we should probably focus on fielding a competitive soccer team on Mars. The chinese government should focus on achieving realistic endeavors, instead of fanciful notions of medaling in olympics on earth.

Wouldn't surprise me if CNSA lands a person on Mars before we qualify for another world cup...

I wish I could give you both "Haha" and "Sad".

Beside Olympic, China's women football has just got the champion for AFC Women's Asian Cup by beating South Korean 3-2.
Hehe yeah, thats why I made the men's football comment. The girls had nerves of steel! 2-0 down, and get back to 2-2 then finished it at the end. The Chinese football system was rotten. Then previous coach (from the men's team) wouldn't play Tang from the spurs and she was involved in all 3 goals this time!

My point is western msm is highlighting this story with ill intentions. Generally speaking, social media being toxic is common in every country around the world. Yet looking at western media coverage of this makes it seem like it's exclusive to China, which isn't true. I do agree that we should do better and be kind towards our compatriots. I've looked up this story on baidu (China's google) and the news article mentioned Weibo stepped in and cleaned it up which is a good thing. And another skater on the national team talked to the media and vouched for her. So overall this story is a minor issue, not a big deal..

This is absolutely correct. Western MSM will always latch at the chance to smear and demonize China when an opportunity presents itself.

Just look at this CTV article. The way the report is presented is totally malicious and heavily insinuates to readers that any losing Chinese athlete is badly treated by both the government and the Chinese public. This news is just an example of the West's multi pronged effort to discredit China in the eyes of the world so the west can justify its aggressive actions against China.

Gu Eileen is making her first appearance. Currently 2nd in qualification
She gonna to the finals. The other Chinese skier Yang, unfortunately won't but she is young at 18 so there will be chances in future. She had a injury in training her eye was swollen. Put a good fight to still participate. Brave girl.

I don't know why but seem like women in China do better than men. Volley ball is another example. China is champion for women's volley ball but their men counterpart is nowhere. Is China's women too strong or world's women too weak?

Its psychological. The Men's teams are held up like prima donnas and shatter on first sign of pressure, where as the women's sport have to find their own way so have much more determination and pride in what they do. Just look at the way they act.
