It's not just the alt-right that thinks like that because the mainstream Western media is thinking like that. And no one should kid themselves that the West cares about women. Why should they care about Eileen Gu? If she were representing the US she would've been treated like Kristi Yamaguchi who won gold but all the endorsements and attention went to silver medalist Nancy Kerrigan.
