Eileen Gu is representative of what the West fears about China. Don't believe it's about freedom and human rights. Those are smoke screens. They hate Eileen Gu because the Chinese turned her into a star. This is what I'm talking about why the West needs to force everyone to embrace their values. After reading about tax-evading influencers in China coughing up hundreds of millions of dollars in paying their taxes to avoid trouble with Chinese authorities... how much are these people making? I know influencers in the US make a lot of money but hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes alone Chinese influencers are paying is vastly more than what US influencers make. So what is Eileen Gu's potential and it wasn't because of the US. The West wants to dictate who are celebrities in China so they make that money from China not Chinese. That's why Hollywood is angry they don't get free reign in China. They want Chinese to worship their celebrities so Chinese spend money to watch their movies and on what products they endorse. You always hear Americans talk about how their actors and musicians are the most popular world wide. No they're not. Remember when Kris Wu had a new album and songs were released in the US before in Asia because there was a last minute change where his record label delayed the release in Asia so it would coincide with his birthday. Well his fans in Asia flocked to US downloading sites to buy his songs and ended up beating the debut of Ariana Grande's new album and Lady Gaga on the charts. Christians are suppose to give at least 10% of what they earn in tithings every year to the church. I know it's not accurate but let's just use China's GDP at $18 trillion because that's the kind of numbers we're talking about. That's at least $1.8 trillion to mostly foreign Christians every year for nothing. How are they going to make all of China's money if they're not dictating what's to value in life to the Chinese? They hate how popular Eileen Gu is in China because they did make her.

Or, as I once said after seeing a scene depicting Bruce Lee’s funeral in Hong Kong in movie about his life (and please excuse the profanity, but it’s a verbatim quote),
“Damn, when you’re popular in China, you’re a popular motherfucker!”

Captain
As far as I can tell, British medal count as of Friday, Feb 18, 2022 is still a big fuking ZERO, so how busy is he?
According to the article, he won silver in the freestyle skiing event while representing the US in 2018. I have not seen his name in any of the finals in the free style events. I suppose he will tell his readers it was the stress and poor food which upset his routine and caused his disappointing performance.

Your post, tho’, is painful to me. It reminds me of my unfulfilled plan to corner the market on gumball machines in China. Just imagine earning all those pennies from happy Chinese children!
