I thought one had to meet a qualifying standard to compete at the games . If it wasnt then there should have been more Chinese competitors in some of those ski events when there is only one competeing for the final 12. The event where the mens big sky event has only one compared to the Japanese three.
They aren't allowed to speak English, only curse in it. And if the media people keep harping on about it they are gonna demonstrate it too.

I saw anti-China USA Today sports journalist Christine Brennan being interviewed over the Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva doping scandal saying that Chinese must be really angry at the Russians for ruining it for them with an unclean Olympics. Never mind that this same reporter accuses the Chinese of doping too.
Why would China be angry, when the doping issue takes away some negative coverage from diplomatic boycott and Eileen Gu?
That is kind of pathetic.
It is that expression, "Shut up and play."

They are still trying to rip China and Russia apart like they did in the cold war.
I take the more Biblical interpretation.
The Americans believe they are the chosen people, and the people of the world want to be like them.
That American mythology is symbolized by Lady Liberty. American values are suppose to be universal, and everyone can be and wants to be an American.
So this Chinese bolts, because she has it better somewhere else, and that somewhere else happens to be that arch-rival, and she managed to make millions and millions, an opportunity not available to her if she stayed with America.
Gu Ailing, shattered that image what Americans deeply believed in, going over to the arch-rival, and making millions more.
They cannot process that, so they revert to anger, and sour grape.
Come to think of it, kind of like the five stages of grief.
