And now silver in Men's Canoe Single 1000m. Very good race, China almost got 1st.

These attempts to de-humanize Chinese is racism. We must go on the offensive and call them out for racism and de-humanizing Chinese achievements for political propaganda purposes. So "Chinese=Robots" so their "achievements" is discounted or not remarkable, just like IBM Deep Blue can beat Kasparov or AlphaGo can be Lee Sedol.

Rowing, canoe and kayak have quite alot of medals. Not sure if they are all grouped together as one sports but nice to see china continues to make good progress in these events since athens when China had a surprise gold. I think they even hired the famous Olympian British guy, Redgrave as a consultant.

Just realized Liu Hao has a silver in the k2 already so double silver for him now, in the individual event to go with the pairs event. He also has the gold in the world championship. Talented dude.

Good to know Olympic medals are all about how much money you throw into it because China is only going to grow richer.

It's a number of factors, along with talent pool and coaching etc. But yeah investment is a huge benefit in a Olympics sports.

For example British rowing team had their worse results in a decade after cuts from funding they get from the lotteries system and coaching issues. It's still richly funded though with more than 20m pounds

US will clench GOLD in Basketball (men).

US likely to clench GOLD against baseball ( game with Japan to be held soon today).

Also, GOLD in Golf for US. (women)

Note : Golf game is suspended due to bad weather. The final leg was for today. US player already leads. So assured victory.
