Japan came into the finals with the slowest time which was why they were in the outermost lane.
The thing with sprint events is that you get punished for the slightest mistake you make.
Chinese team would've had a chance to medal if not for the anchor runner Wu suddenly slowing down to get the baton from Su.
I did not watch the race, but did he think he was going to pass the point where the baton change had to change hands?
was she expected to medal??
I think the other Chinese contestant was expected to medal but she wasn’t.

The idea is to propagate the propaganda that China is only able to send a team that is strong only in numbers. These are not my words but the exact words of a western commentator when I first had the chance to watch the Olympics on TV eons ago.
Chinese women medal in shot put, hammer and javelin. Two gold and a silver from the four throwing events that's fantastic, but I wanna be spoiled and would like to have seen them medal in the discus.

Propaganda at it's best. Never stop taking advantage to demonize China. Even a success story can turn into a negatives.
Well, we can relie on the OZ to do its upmost on behalf of its master. If only OZ can be more like the Kiwis.
