The bottom line is lets just hope that Ukraine and Crimea does NOT turn into a Syria and Libya like episode.

It does seem that the Kiev regime have multiple security problems now to worry about.

Open revolt in the East
Highly Questionable loyalty from the Official Regular Armed Forces
Stirrings of a very dangerous counter coup in Kiev and western regions led by Svoboda and other Bandarites.

Maybe the counter terrorism operation has been such a damp squib because Kiev is keeping its most loyal units (National Guard) close to home to ensure protection for itself?

Could this be Putin's plan for revenge? Help manoeuvre the situation where the coup appointed regime is overthrown by the far right ahead of the planned May elections?

You can clearly hear the line that Russia would take in that case

"Look at what the US/EU/NATO practices rather than what it preaches

If Afghanistan Opium production increases exponentially on it watch
In Iraq, Invaded on a lie and led into a descent into hell, while in its care
Supporting Al Qaida in Libya to overthrow a legitimate government and create a new government
Supporting Al Qaida in Syria to try and overthrow a legitimate government
Now supporting a Far Right coup against a legitimate democratic government in Ukraine"

That would be the point when horrified ordinary Ukrainians throughout the country, would turn to Putin for support and assistance and when the Ukraine military would roll with purpose into Kiev and remove the Far right outrage.

Is this the toxic sting in the tale Putin is waiting to hand back to Washington?
One thing is for sure, even the most loyal and reliable Western "mouth piece" media are starting to struggle very badly with trying to spin current events and keep them on message.

Indeed. But we should also hope that Ukraine remains a peaceful, independent nation. Even if Putin does not want to invade, it does seem that he wants to stop the May elections and keep Ukraine unstable, without a legitimate government. The timings of the militant attacks was far too coincidental (they call for a referendum, but how can one take place if there are random armed people roaming the streets?)

Though I do not agree with all your comments, however there is truth in that the media is having difficulty not calling one side hypocrites. The bickering in the Ukrainian parliament does not provide a comfortable feeling for the stability of the government. Especially to the citizenry.

My prediction is that portions of eastern Ukraine will be lost to Russia within a month or two. Then Russia will attempt to get “their” people elected to the Ukrainian government and create a friendy nation that serves as a buffer to EU/NATO (similar to Belarus). This has probable been Putin’s plan all along.

Unless there is western intervention (which will not happen), I unfortunately see eastern provinces being incorporated into Russia. These are sad times we are living in.

Why would this be sad? These people obviously want to join the Russian Federation.

lol, another good quality post.

Rutim you have been warned previously about your posting style and given notice that the next infraction would gain a 7 day ban.
You have chosen to ignore that warning and continue with mindless one liners, that seek only to annoy other members. As a result your seven day ban starts now.

I have struggled to find a point to most of your posts or any worthwhile contribution to this community. If you re-offend again, it will be a fast track to a permanent ban.

Just because they have a pro Russian Preference does not mean they want full Russian nationality.

One of the biggest issues for the Ukraine is the manor of Governance both east and western have had to deal with appointed governors. That's a grip for both sides as Pro Russian governments of the past installed people who favored there views where the current pro western has installed pro Western Governors.
This makes them basically yes men for the Whims of Kiev.
