These are polyethylene ball floats for aquaculture. Hanging under the floats could be any kind of kits for oysters, kelps and sea weeds etc

Unless I'm just completely off here, seem like we have hump that extends through most the hull, which would allow them to store some capable towed sensors even after we account for the space to be used by VLS.
