09III/09IV (093/094) Nuclear Submarine Thread

Captain
perhaps, you are misunderstanding. I'm talking about international law term, the right of hot pursuit.

Hot pursuit applies when a crime happened within a foreign country's borders and the country is hunting down the suspect's vessel.
  1. Diaoyu Island isn't Japanese territory so it's not within their borders
  2. No crime happened inside Japanese territory
  3. Japan wasn't hunting anyone
  4. People being hunted run fast, the 09III sailed at ~5 knots, not 30
  5. The 09III wasn't running, it was on a relaxing stroll
No pursuit occurred.

Type 093B entered Diaoyudao's contiguous zone on January 11th morning and left it on January 11th afternoon, that is for me just a couple of hours but never 24 hours and more.

I read carefully, but you should better remember what you wrote.

The continuous hot pursuit started after the sub 093B entered in Senkaku's contiguous zone on a.m. of Jan 11, and ended when the sub surfaced in East China Sea (outside Senkaku's contiguous zone) on p.m. of Jan 12.

Point still stands. Unless you think 093B is somehow the stealthiest submarine in the world. Not even USN will want to take this sort of gamble "test your hardware" tactic with even something they consider the stealthiest submarine. I don't know if PLAN sub hunting is as developed and sophisticated as JMSDF and I would doubt it is given the available assets we know of. But the price to pay for losing this gamble is an entire line of your latest and greatest sub has compromised stealthiness. So why play when the prize to win is so insignificant.

Are there any source or any evidence which suggests PLAN knew 093B subs are noisy, and easily detected?

There's no evidence the 09IIIB is considered a significant acoustic upgrade over the 09III. What it offers is YJ-18 launch capability and a towed sonar array. If you have reliable sources indicating the 09IIIB is the very latest in quieting technology, share it.

None that I know of. Are there any sources to suggest USN know how noisy or silent their Virginia class is? How easily detected by enemy MAD? Can you see the point here? Also you completely missed the point again. You're clearly here to troll. No one is this thick. Have fun with your trolling hope it's worth your time.

Some Chinese media reported 093B's noise was improved.

Generally speaking, at least in textbook theory, any submarine's operation based on assumption that the sub will be easily detected is ridiculous.
