Such clear shots? Does this means something better is ready to launch?
Well there have been persistent rumours for months, going on a year now, that a follow on SSN (variously called 093B, and even 095) was nearing completion, including a few fuzzy photos. A while ago it was even claimed the first boat was commissioned, but as always, salt is advised.
However, clear photos of a previously rarely seen product is usually indicative of its follow on entering some form of service.
We got really nice clear photos of 093 when it got declassified a few years ago, so I don't think this says anything.

It's so difficult to find accurate information on Type 093, let alone 095. These are no doubt critical programs for China and I would guess the top priority for PLAN, given that a modern competitive design would go a long way to securing access into the outer island chains.
Worth noting too is that construction of the Type 093 began in the late 90's. Experience in building & operating the class, not to mention the leap in Precision Machinery, Materials Science and Electronics China has gone through since then, would make the follow on a significant improvement. I imagine developing an acceptable next-generation reactor has been the biggest challenge.

Based on these pictures. I conclude that 093 is at least as good as the LA class SSN !!!

he probably was however I do think he is right. It is probably somewhat equivalent to the LA class Flt I boats but certainly not the Improved LA class of the 1990s.
095 OTOH probably has similar capabilities to the Improved LA boats but that is pure guess on my part.
I don't think he is kidding, given his post history is littered with overly enthusiastic claims and ideas.
Regardless of what capability 093 approaches, judging it based on photos as he did is ridiculous.

No doubt.. Judging capabilities by looks are for beauty pageants... Otherwise that Iranian stealth fighter would give the Raptor a run for its money.
