A permanent magnet motor is not the same thing as a rim driven propeller. Your claim involved the latter, not the former.

The report does not say one way or another But it is just matter of time before they will apply it on rim driven motor. The main thing here it is permanent magnet and not induction magnet.

Very grainy, but you can still make out the contours of the hump that begins around the sail.

What military activities could it be? Testing of new sub?. From Henri K blog

An area near the Bohai Shipyard, where Chinese nuclear submarines are assembled, was barred from access on November 7 for 10 hours for "military activities".
