wtf? didn't we just a month or two ago see that ship barely at main deck level? How on earth can it be in water so fast?
1. Either those pics were taken some months prior to being published online.
2. This pic is some old pic of the original 071 ship.
3. There is another ship being built that remained a secret.
4. somethign else?

Not sure really, something like that happened to the 4th 054A at the HD shipyard as well.

If Wiki is correct, the first ship was launched in 2006. Almost four years after that, so it should be some improvement on this one, I guess?

998 and 529, Hudong's first 054A, were launched simultaneously on 21 December 2006.
One wonders if today will be a repeat performance?

Take a look on the top people. It is already launched. You can judge for yourself whether it changed or not. Why do I see launch notices?
We have not seen 054a launched from hudong today.

Doesn't look like a lot's changed on this ship -- it's still using AK-630.
Holy sh -- well if they can build these things and launch them that fast I have hopes we might get half a dozen of these LPDs before 2015.
