Iran still needs to go into the Indian Ocean to get to Gulf of Aden, plus Iran is also drawing up plans to deploy to Venezuela

China can send its fleet through Singapore, and reach Gulf of Aden via the Coast if it doesnt want to cross the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean, even Sweden has sent light corvettes to Gulf of Aden for anti-piracy missions, if needed Type 056 can easily do the job, maybe with a little modification with regards to safety etc

Go look at a map. Any ship going from China to Somalia has to pass by Indian ocean. The mediterranean sea is a lot less rough which explains why European countries can send coverttes to do antipiracy.

do u want to calm down with the arrogance yeah, do u know what a map is, clearly not, where did i say it doesnt pass Indian Ocean

and they dont sail to Somalia they sail to Gulf of Aden, its thats where the anti-piracy operations takes place had you not known

Oh and if you do look at a map. Sailing to gulf of Aden is effectively sailin to somalia since the gulf borders Somalia. :)

in the last 5 years alone we have seen Type 052C Destroyers, Type 054A Frigates, Type 056 Corvettes and Type 071 LPDs going into full scale production, that 4 classes of ships not to mention all the other projects

all these ships could be deployed abroad as part of a task force or good will gestures, Iran recently sent a Alvand frigates which is (approx. 1,500 tons) through the Suez Canel and into the Mediterranean along with a replenishment ship, so theres no reason why Type 056 cant be deployed abroad

ex-Varyag, Type 052C, Type 054A, Type 095 SSN, Replenishment tankers and support ships passing through Suez Canel would be a sight to see!

I wouldnt say that the Type056 is in full scale production. They will probably finish two ships and then test them for a year or two before deciding on any further production.
