Looks they haven’t install AshM yet.

Just saw this today, it boggles my mind this the 24 round RAM is on the older Jianghu but 056 OPV only get 8 round. They are more or less in the same class of ships, and 056 would benefit from the extra rounds.

Is that a standard install now for the Jianghu? I do not think so. My bet is that it has been installed there to test it, and not to add to the overall class of Jianghus. It would make no sense to arm up the Jianghus this heavily for AAW defense.

Those 24 missile HQ-10 installs will end up going on larger, high value vessles, like the Type 052D perhaps, or retroffited to the Type 071s.

As to the smaller number on the 056 OPV, it makes sense given their mission. They are not meant to operate in a heavy, saturation air attack environment.

It's where the dual AAA mounts used to be, so it's one deck above the main deck, though the 8 round launcher on the 056 seems to 2 decks above the main deck.......

Additional thought to this. The 24 round installed on the Jianghu is most likely a test. The Jianghu Vs were refitted relatively recently so they should still have some decent service life left in them. Perhaps they are contemplating replacing the 4 37mm AAA with a FL-3000N in the front and rear, 8 rounds F&R each would make sense. It would certainly increase these vessel's defensive measures.

Those manually operated 2*37mm are antiquated, though still in use, but I won't be surprised they might come around to replace them with those new 30mm RWS or FL-3000N.

Also, if they got enough 054A FFG and 056 corvettes, the "younger" of Jianghus would simply phased to the maritime law enforcement agencies after modifications.

What interest me is that if the 056 will be hand over to the HK garrison anytime soon, so we can see them in the next Labour Day open house. Another thing is its helicopter compliment - it won't be a problem for other outfits but HK garrison's helicopter assets are exclusively provided by the air force.

I think there is a very good chance that all four 056's - 596 (+ 597-599?) will be in service by the time of the next Hong Kong Garrison open day.

Just to cheer you up!
