Don't you just hate it when those watermarks screw up the picture of the ship?

Why can't they just place a little signature on the corners?

Or offer a picture free of watermarks?

Rant over.

For the same reason you (or I) would prefer them to put their watermarks there - it would be easy to crop off.

While you or I might just want to crop off watermarks for a aesthetics or to use as wallpaper on our computers, other people with more selfish motivations could, and often have, simply chopped off the watermark of those people who actually took the time, effort and risk to snap those shots and either put in their own watermark to claim credit, or worse, use those edited pictures for personal profit with no acknowledgement or compensation to the people who took the pictures. I am looking at you Kawan.

For a moment, I thought you guys meant the squarish patchy looking grey paint on the 056 is the result of watermarks. I wonder why the paint looked that way.

Yeah, it seems to start with Kanwa and "that bald man"...since then, everything that comes out of Chinese source have prominent watermarks.

That said, my set of vanilla QBZ95-1 pics have no watermarks, and I've seen them crop up in Chinese BBS sites as well (I've lend that set to one blogger I knew, but he have yet updated his site so that's not his fault, I think), so much for Picasa / Google copyright statement...

No that's a Z9C or a mock up of one

Ohh Yes I see now. The nose was hidden by other structures and the cockpit was made invisible by the background, so it looked like a strange bulbous almost submarine shaped end just after the engines and rotor.

Thanks

Just saw this today, it boggles my mind this the 24 round RAM is on the older Jianghu but 056 OPV only get 8 round. They are more or less in the same class of ships, and 056 would benefit from the extra rounds.

Sir - I would argue that the old Jianghu is the test-ship for this launcher. They seem to have removed the old (gun turret?) to install it.

That mount would not affect the sea-worthiness and sea-keeping of the old Jianghu.

One could not say the same for the 056, the mount above the hangar roof must have serious top-weight and strength limitations, too heavy and stability is affected - not to mention the hangar roof caves in.

As the 056 is a coastal patrol vessel the 8-round launcher is probably at the limit.
