Also, I would flatten the bridge, and make a single radar mast in the middle of the ship. But hey, that's just me. I'm a pretty creative guy. Chinese designs are usually copied from the west. For example, Type 055's radar mast on the bridge is copied from Spanish F100 frigate which was the first ship having such design feature.
You need to get your eyes checked. The Type 055 bridge/superstructure looks nothing like the F100.

The concept is copied.
The concept of putting the radar on top of the bridge is known since WWII, when the first radars were installed on warships.
r/WarshipPorn - USS New York (BB-34) showing off her new XAF Radar (the big circle), the first radar ever fitted to a US capital ship. Developed by the Naval Research Laboratory, it is now awaiting restoration at the Historical Electronics Museum in Linthicum, MD. [2794x3799]

If I were Type 055 designer I put a central mast by itself in the middle of the ship not connected to the bridge and make the bridge really small and flat and get rid of the frontal gun and put the bridge there to reduce RCS.
Unfortunately, actual naval engineers have to contend with such mundane things like stability, visibility, and seakeeping in adverse sea conditions.

hahahahahaha, another case of "找爹-syndrome" much?!

That's just funny!
I suppose by your logic, you would say that the Japanese Mogami Class is a grandchild of F100, right?

Mogami's side profile is more like that of type 071 ship.

Just distribute the VLS across the fore, mid and aft sections of the ship respectively.

The CGI ship below has 176 VLS cells. (and two guns)

I really love this design - A newer and larger Ticonderoga-class with more VLS for the PLAN.

The point to making the aft superstructure taller than the stack is so it can be covered in black soot after a few day’s sailing?

Tbh I think the 055 is probably the upper limit of what should be built, we don't know how vulnerable ships would be in combat since nobody has had modern naval combat experience for decades so it's better to build more 052Ds and distribute the risk than build smaller numbers of massive ships, especially once the advantages of going big (larger radars, more LACMs) reach diminishing returns

I, for one would love to see something like 50 052Ds and 16 055s (mainly as carrier escorts)

055 seems like a design meant to succeed 052D. Once you see old ships replaced we would only see 055 built.
