It doesn't take that much time at all, and sometimes it's just to see how things will look. Can be difficult to discern intent just from one image without context.

I don't think they are trying to trick anyone. Just trying to show what 055 may look like with the integrated mast being the rice lamp. Of course the rice lamp shouldn't be on 055, but it is still an appreciated effort

Agree, not eveything psed are meant to trick people. I love the job by whoever did this ps. It's fun to see for me anyway.

That might actually work with a 071 hull.

That might be an attempt to show the initial 20kT ship considered. Would make sense to make an ABM defense ship on 071 hull. Definitely inspired by proposed SanAntonio conversion into ABM ship.

This looks much more like PLAN effort at n Arsenal Ship, or a Missile Defense Ship similar to the proposed use of the San Antonio LPD hull for a BMD ship that the US is considering.

But IMHO, this clearly is not the Type 055 vessel.

In terms of size I think it is around where 055 should displace. But it's hull is more like a miniature 071. Either way it clearly isn't following what we are seeing at Wuhan.
