Key word here is "meaningful." For that, look at the proposals for the next gen frigate competition. Lockmart dropped out completely because they realize their LCS design simply cannot meet requirement. Australs keep having to lengthen their LCS boat in order to accommodate the missile counts

oooohhhh PICTURES of GUNS and MISSILES and STUFF is basically your argument-___- What are those missile types? Are the amount of the types provide tactical advantage against a near peer or peer? Are there radars installed that would allow the ship to independently track and shoot at a tactical distance against an enemy equivalence type etc. I know the answer, that's why I reemphasized the word "meaningful."

I´m Juan, I´ve readed you for a while, but I didn´t write here before. I´ve tried to read all Type 055 topic (not finished still) before asking, but some question arise when deeping in the knowledge of this class of ships.
I´ve a question, reading the excellent posts about Type 055 propulsion and taking into account the Type 055 only have TG for propulsion, and (IMHO) this scheme is not the most adequate for low speed transit; Is really the Type 055 a "fast escort carrier" ship?. If it is, can we speculate the number of CV for the PLAN following the total number of Type 055 in commission??.

Now, with regards to the actual question.
1. We don't know the future order of battle for PLAN. We can - and do here - speculate on this, but at the end of the day, there is no outstanding information to make anything more than an educated guess.
2. We cannot directly correlate the current number of ordered 055 hulls with the number of possible/probable Carrier battle groups PLAN will field in the future.
