I think you misinterpreted my statement which is understandable since it wasn't expressed clearly enough but I thought the meaning was clear. DK-10 as a surface to air missile is an available missile for PLAN to navalise as a potential alternative to HHQ-16. One that comes with significant space savings provided it gets developed to be quad packable and can be equipped on PLAN ships. I should have stated this has not been shown to have already been tested but the system offers a potential alternative. The fact we do not see PLAN ships equipping this does not mean it is not doable or hasn't been done but it could mean it is not desirable or a better alternative could be eventually available in a navalised PL-15 SAM. HHQ-16 most likely takes up an entire cell so it would be more ideal if HHQ-16 range is either improved or quad packed SAMS are developed to fill the performance expectations of HHQ-16 as a viable space saving future alternative to what PLAN ships currently rely on for ~50km range targets.
Well your original statement was "PLAN does have navalised PL-12 (DK-10) available" which sounds like "currently available" rather than "could be developed". As for "could be developed", I agree that such a missile is so obviously useful to the PLAN in mass saturation attack scenarios that I would be shocked if something like this missile were not in development or even already fielded. An ARH-guided missile would be quite expensive but would relieve the main 346A/B/whatever radar of having to dedicate bandwidth to missile guidance. A SARH-guided missile in the spirit of the ESSM would be acceptable as long as the main radar has the ability to juggle many such missiles in the air simultaneously. IMO if we can ever get confirmation of whether or not that big panel on the mast is a (presumed) X-band AESA, it might lean more towards one missile type than the other.

I love the overal look of the 055, but the turret is a bit of an eyesore. It just doesn’t have the same elegant lines as the rest of the ship.

I just hope the railgun gets a better turret.

Hmm, you're not the first I heard that.

She's the covergirl for this month's issue of Modern Ships magazine.

The equipment on top of the bridge behind the bench like arrays are most interesting, as these were never seen in detail until now.

Has she come back to port yet? The first Type 055 ship trials seems to be much longer than the 002 carrier.
