IMO it is most of all a question important for certain fan-boys to feel proud:
"Hey I have 128 and You only 112; haha, I win You looser!"

I do think it matters mostly just to confirm what it actually is.
Whether it's 128 or 112 doesn't matter, but the fact that we don't know which one it is, is still a bit irritating.

It may not matter to you .... but not necessary you are right though, and the rest were wrong.

I think You got me completely wrong: my post was never meant against You in person.
You are surely correct that I do not care much about if 112 or 128 or whatever in the same way I care more about what engine the J-20 uses, which is irrelevant for some others.
It was only directed "against" such typical fan boys we know from other forums with such a strange ego, since for them it is a question of ego or even national pride.
Sorry if my post was misleading.

Fanboys are annoying, but really I just want to know the actual number. I think if it's 112 VLS how they arrived at that number must have a story, and that would be interesting, at least to me.

As far as I know there hasn't been any "decent quality" satellite image of the 055 nor any picture of the 055 from astern, which I also find really unusual.
Apart from the VLS I would for example really like to see the configuration of the helicopter hangar(s) and the stern in general.
