A ultra modern carrier strike package

Off course that won't be the only mix PLAN has many combinations they can use

Fully modern, but perhaps not ultra-modern.

Also, this package would likely include a replenishment ship, and for best result probably need more than one submarine.

Not sure what you mean by ultra-modern, but the 055 and 095 at least will likely fit most peoples' definition of ultra-modern.

Also, the Type 901 is a replenishment ship, and not just a replenishment ship, it's actually a fast combat support ship with the speed to keep up with the fleet.

Perhaps ultra-modern means using all latest technology?

055 is perhaps very modern, but still lack some recent but already deployed innovations like integrated electric propulsion. It is not clear exactly how modern 095 is because submarine technologies are esoteric and people don't often blab about all the advancements. But if some key performance expectation is to be taken as indicators, then 095 is perhaps not really very modern, not claimed by many I've heard to outperform 20 year old submarines such as the Seawolf.

"Some" recent innovations? As in several besides IEP? Which ones? BTW, it's not like IEP is on every new ship class that comes out around the world; in fact I can count in one hand the number of newer warship classes that actually have it. The upcoming Ford carrier and JMSDF 27DDG won't have it and they're the newest warships on the block. As for the Seawolf, though 20+ years old it's probably quieter than any other sub except for the Virginia class, and as far as I know they actually tie in acoustics, so saying the Seawolf is 20+ years old is misleading since it happens to be as ultra-modern as it gets. Same thing with the F-22. Which other fighter can beat it in air-to-air combat on a statistical level? And yet it debuted in 2005. The US has been so far ahead in some areas that citing the age of a given platform is not going to get you anywhere.

We ought to be careful not to presume too much about the 095. Amongst the PLA's different projects this is one of the most opaque, with the least amount of information available to work off of.

I am not sure if this is all speculation or contains real info. Anyway if you have not watched this video:

it says:
  • Type 055 is designed with UK help, to be an enlarged Type 42
  • But the placement of radars need to be 25+ meters tall, which means Type 055 will be overweight and China does not have large enough gas turbine at the time
  • After many years, decided to use 4xQC280 and enlarge it further
  • Type 055 has electricity generator total output 12mw
  • Enough electricity to drive 346* radar panels and the x-band radar panels
  • Some speculation on Type 055 sensor fusion
  • Some speculation the VLS cells are large enough to launch drones
