I'd be surprised if the Chinese universal VLS had their cells slanted... and we've had photos of their VLS cells with doors open as well as VLS modules outside of the ship before they were installed onto 052Ds. I'm pretty sure they're not slanted in the way you imagine...

In fact where did this idea even come from anyway?

From what I understand, it is an advanced VLS that utilizes electromagnets to propel the projectile out of the cell and does so with a very high velocity as to allow smaller projectiles to have the same range as larger (conventionally-launched) projectiles that have rocket boosters.

Yes, but they're clearly unrelated considering sinosoldier was talking about an entirely different topic in a different thread and andrews was talking about the 055's VLS in this thread, the 055 thread.

There is nothing in this thread I can see which even proposed the idea that 055 uses slanted VLS and frankly the configuration and design of the universal VLS has basically been settled for a while now

But why mention that there is new VLS related info if it isn't related to my question towards andrewS? I mean, we're all able to browse the forum ourselves. I'm not trying to be rude here, but unless you're mentioning other posts or news with a point to make or to reply to someone else, it just causes confusion about what you're trying to say.
