The radar panels (or their bases) on the enclosed mast are now visible. Before the front was covered by a construction frame.

It has progressed from a simple thing to begin with, and successively added more and more of what they actual ship is going to comprise.

it is also more than a mockup. Like the Carrier version, it is a facility where they are going to do logistical, and other testing and training.

There are lots of pics on this thread...go through them.

Also a simple Google of "Type 055 Mockup" in Google image will give you all the pics you need to see the progression and the differences..

Could some one explain what is that "lamp post" on the main mast? It ruins the main mast altogether I hope they redesign the main mast in the production vessels.

I'm not sure the antenna mast on the top is really part of the design. It almost looks as if they put a cell phone tower on top of the mast (though I guess that might be a "stupid but cool" idea: having a cell phone tower on your warship so that you can just use your phone wherever you are)

I'm not sure if you're joking or serious but if not. no that is certainly not a cell phone tower for the workers to call home.
