They have to fit in all the loading and elevation mechanisms (remember, the 130mm cannon fires at higher angles than a tank gun, for starters).Wondering why the main gun body need that big?, bigger than the whole MBT

2 052Cs, and 4 052Ds in varying stages of service, sea trial, and fitting out, for six aegis type DDGs all at that one shipyard.
And elsewhere in there are 4 052Cs and the first 052D all in service, and 052D hull two somewhere on sea trials.
So altogether they now have a grand total of twelve aegis type 052C/Ds in the water. I suspect within two years, the remaining six 052Ds will also be launched, thanks to production by both JN and DL. I also expect at least one 055 hull to be launched before the last 052D is launched.
It really is quite amazing, just two years ago, the idea of 052Ds being produced "dumpling style" would've been called unrealistic. But now, we're even beginning to entertain the idea of 055s being produced serially in coming years. PLAN really has done well for itself.
Hey Bltizo, what is "dumping style"?

Let's refrain from using these term that maybe well known on Chinese bbs, but not familiar elsewhere (especially for our non-Chinese members)Basically when ships are built at high rate, like dumplings.
