Did the Chinese Navy admit to active service two new warships recently, in secret? Indeed, some sources suggest that anti-submarine corvette 518 Yiwu of Type 056A of one, and destroyer 154 Xiamen of Type 052D on the other, joined the ranks of the Chinese naval forces before the end of June, Without it being officially communicated.
Another anti-submarine corvette type 056A similar to 518 Yiwu floating at the Hudong-Zhonghua shipyard in Shanghai, there is a large opening for towed sonar at the rear.
Floated on May 20, 2016 at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, 518 Yiwu is the 11th class building built in this shipyard. Equipped with towed sonar and a dedicated combat suite, it is also the 12th in series of the variant ASW Type 056A.
The information that this type 056A corvette has already been admitted to the service comes from a local government website, specifically the Yiwu City Civil Affairs Office, which is named after it.
