Re: PLAN Type 052 Class Destroyer

The ship looks to already be in bad shape. Is that rust?

Standard corrosion I think.

Good sign, means the ship had been out at sea for a while. Although most of the corrosion an grime looks like a splash of water and a few non industrial agents could take care of.

(And of course the shipyard won't be as strict about the navy about keeping up appearances, so cleaning work won't be on their minds too much.)

Naturally, and here is the USS Gerald Ford, already a hopeless rust bucket well before she was launched:

Wow, kroko, your parents must be very patient, perhaps even more so than those of David Axe.

Anyhow, I think you've exceeded your daily trolling quota. Good work, and for the sake of all of us here, please rest that big intellect of yours for a while. Thank you for your cooperation.

Phew...

When some members whose posts mostly seem to be only of a particular type, whether they be asking loaded questions or being skeptical about things that had already been settled, that is eventually going to provoke a response and they will be called out for it.

What is this pole thing on the bottom of the radar panel??? I could never figure this out.

This has been discussed numerous times in the past because it was also featured in the Charlie's APAR as well. A few educated guesses but I don't think anyone can say for sure.

Nice pics of a Type 052C DDG (150), and a Type 054A FFG (549), doing simultaneous UNREP with the 890 replenishment vessel.
