Re: DDG 052C Thread

I thought there are 4 destroyer hulls being assembled in HD? But huitong's site says two Type 052C+ are being built. So what are the two other ones? The Type 052D with the integrated mast sensors and hot launch square VLS?
That's probably because the other two are too early along to recognize if they are 052C's or destroyers at all.

they are not in HD, they are being built in JN ship yard, total of 4 052C (or C+), the first one already has launched, the second one already has completed the hull and entered into the dry dock, the other two being assembled, please check the photos posted by tphuang and me before in the thread.

Not likely, but I was thinking Star Destroyers. Even better than integrated mast and square VLS. Ion cannons and laser batteries FTW.

Don't be ridiculous. Star Destroyers don't have Ion Cannons. Only the Rebel Alliance has those. The megablaster on the new Death Star should compensate for that shortcoming though.

btw, I did read for posters following the Russian navy that naval version of 9M96 are not launched from the same launchers as S-300, but rather have their own launchers that have one missile per launch cell. Check AFM's Russian navy thread.

Re: DDG 052C Thread

There is absolutely no reason to think what happens on land somehow magically can't happen over water. And if it is actually the case that 9M96 is one quarter the size of S-300 but still takes up an entire cell, there is absolutely no reason to replace an S-300 with a 9M96. Those posters probably have as much clue about their own navy as some of the posters on this forum.

Actually, they were from quite reputable posters.

if you can find a ship carrying 9M96 in rif vls, then that would be some solid support for your case.
