What was that ray-dom that was positioned on top of the bridge of the 52C that is no longer on the 52D

From newer images from JN shipyard, as posted elsewhere on the web............it can be clearly seen that the 4th 052D is now in one of the hallways.
Meanwhile outside is a large module that could be for the 5th 052D!

In reply to my previous post.............the 4th 052D is now in the right hand shed at JN shipyard..........what i want to know is, what is or will be built in the left hand shed!

I would not be too sure that it will not be there...I think that it will. They have not completed outfitting the Type 052D yet, so we will need to wait until that is completed.

The pictures of what a completed Type 052D is supposed to look like show it:


I really like the following actual picture which shows all three of the launched Type 052D vessels in the water at once, next to one another, with the two later Type 052Cs across the way.

That's five brand new, very capable DDGs there at once. A testament to the PLAN's DDG production capability.

The 64 cell VLS system how many VLS at the front and how many at the aft position?

40,000 tons of DDG sitting right there! Not to mention the LCAC and minesweeper at the top left

So why are C5 and C6 still sitting there in the shipyard?

Because fitting had not been completed yet? Because they are waiting for the time to go on sea trial? Because that photo was old and the ship are already at sea trial?

Your guess is as good as many of ours.

It's 32 cells forward, and 32 cells aft for the Type 052D, asif.

I don't know who took this photo, but definitely the first one I've seen of this. What's with all that poles in the middle? Is that to help install the missile?
