If we are following the previous launch pattern, these modules should be for D5, and D4 should already be under construction in the building hall that D2 occupied.
However, these modules may indeed e D4 if we account for 055 which we are all being told JNCX is retooling itself for.
So in that sense, the building hall D2 occupied was/is being retooled and modified for 055, meaning D4 construction had to follow after D3's construction hall freed up instead of following in D2's building hall.

Very good sir, very good, that is the thought I had in the back of my head when I was writing and really waiting for someone to say what you did

This can be the only plausible explanation, because the hall from where D2 was launched has been sitting for 7 months now and I re-call a recent picture which I think showed that the hall was actually empty or certainly did not show D4 in it, there’s been no accident/incident so it means it is undergoing modification’s, for what? Well the Type 055 cruiser

But really we need a clear up to date picture from where D2 was launched to see if actually that hall is sitting empty, I am just thinking, whoever posted that pictures Escobar did could they really have thought so far ahead?

Now since we think this is true, somewhere someplace at JN there should be modules of the cruiser lying around, after all it should enter the hall this year or next, modules can’t be hard to miss so I expect the next few months are very exciting from DDG perspective

Question also arises, is there any activity at Dalian, after all if the Type 055 is starting to emerge then the rumours of Dalian might be true too, its July and we should expect to see DDG construction beginning there too this year

So summary
We need updated pictures of the hall ways at JN

Confirm if Type 055 is starting up

Picture of Dalian to see if DDG construction is starting there

I think these question will be answer in 2013 hopefully**

It was on the test ship, so it should probably show up in the real thing. The Type 052D and Type 055 are candidates.

You are right, the second one is for missiles. If the large array doesn't show up on the Type 052D, then it'll probably be installed on the 055.

This is said to be the 130mm naval gun aboard the new 052D destroyer. The gun looks very sexy to me. Is it the first naval gun that fit with muzzle brake?
