00X/004 future nuclear CATOBAR carrier thread

I doubt that three carriers are being or will be built at the same time. They will certainly not build three 004 CVNs when it will be the very first CVN. You don't go into serial production when you haven't even tested your very first CVN ever.

And I don't think anybody thinks they will build three more 003 carriers.

So I think those interpretations aren't realistic at all. At most, it can mean that it's full steam ahead with the 004 that we are speculating they have already started to build.

Though I would be very happy and excited to be proven wrong because building three carriers at the same time would be a mind-blowing demonstration of shipbuilding prowess.
We have two at same time, one nuclear. The nuclear will be followed by two more nuclear at same time.

I very much would like one of the carriers to be nuclear but so far we have not had confirmation yet? The only evidence that I have seen was that last year one of the buildings near Dalian shipyard was rented out to a company connected with nuclear propulsion technologies. Was there any more evidence that I have missed?

Do we really HAVE? Or do we have hopes and especially the wish it might be that way?
o far I have seen a lot of hints and much of rumours but NOT A SINGLE CONCRETE PROOF!!

As such you should maybe a bit more careful with such claims ...

What's the proof for that other than wishful thinking? We barely have proof that one is being build, much less two, and even less proof about what the future of the program might look like. So at best, it's pure speculation on your part, correct?

Are there any recent satellite images of Jiangnan, specifically the drydock where Fujian was built? If we can see whether the drydock is empty or not at the moment, then we can have a better picture.

We have satellites and commrcial airliners passing overhead there everyday. So if there is no news means there is nothing exiting to be shown in the drydock other than cargo ships.

The size of the ship being built is already pretty strong evidence, I believe. It is a bit impractical to propel 100k+ ton carrier with conventional power, it can be done but will probably give an unwieldy and slow carrier.
