First there is no confirmation that a CVN is being built, and also the modules found in the drydocks may or may not be an aircraft carrier.Any idea on why the alleged new CVN is built in Xianglujiao, instead of Dagushan, as many suggested earlier?
Also the news that an aircraft carrier was to be built in Dagushan is a Rumour, not fact.
And if the modules we saw eventually turn up as aircraft carrier module, that is probably beacuse they have experience in re-building Liaoning, and built Shandong. This is the only shipyard in China that has experience in building/rebuilding 2 aircraft carrier.

Interpretation of "making big dumplings"
A: Serial production, where the next one is being made right after the earlier one. 2nd one already being made when first is under testing.
B: Parallel production, there will be multiple ships in a single batch.
C: All of above.

If that is the case, maybe we will see a picture similar to the pictures of the Olympic-class ocean liners when they were being built. Three carriers being built side by side. What a sight that would be.
Only two of the Olympic class liners were built side by side. The third was built later on the slipway vacated by the first.
I doubt that three carriers are being or will be built at the same time. They will certainly not build three 004 CVNs when it will be the very first CVN. You don't go into serial production when you haven't even tested your very first CVN ever.
And I don't think anybody thinks they will build three more 003 carriers.
So I think those interpretations aren't realistic at all. At most, it can mean that it's full steam ahead with the 004 that we are speculating they have already started to build.
Though I would be very happy and excited to be proven wrong because building three carriers at the same time would be a mind-blowing demonstration of shipbuilding prowess.
And I don't think anybody thinks they will build three more 003 carriers.

Update dated yesterday. So what are we looking at, my untrained eye doesn't see much progress, but i guess i don't quite look at what i should?
