The War in the Ukraine

Lieutenant General
This is why I don't take announced numbers seriously.

From Intel Slava:

”More than 30 infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of strikes on November 15 - Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

Earlier, the General Staff of Ukraine stated that the Russian Armed Forces fired about 90 missiles, 77 of which were shot down. Thus, it turns out that 13 surviving cruise missiles hit 30 targets."

Well, just to play devils advocate, but it’s not technically impossible for both statements to be true at once if we take recent events at face value.

It just means Ukrainian air defence missiles shot down 77/90 aero targets as well as taking out 19/30 ground targets, two of the later just happens to be Polish farmers in Poland.

Some members of the Ukranian government are still pushing for the Russian missile narrative and claiming they haven't received a reply from NATO regarding the proofs of it being an Ukranian missile.

I do wonder how they have evidence of the "russian trace" without access to the crash site and with an RQ-4 operating in the area.

I read in the Bulgarian media that this is the eighth incident for NATO with Ukrainian shells since the beginning of the war - at least 11 dead.

Automatic translation:

On 15 November, a Ukrainian air defence system fired a missile during a Russian wave of missile strikes against the country's infrastructure, which landed in Poland and caused the deaths of two people. However, this is the eighth such incident involving Ukraine since the start of the Russian military intervention on 24 February, in which a NATO member state was the victim. Here are the other 7:

1. 2 March - Ukrainian S-300 air defence system destroyed a Romanian MiG-21 fighter jet. The pilot died.

2. March 2 - Ukrainian air defense shot down a Romanian Mi-8 military transport helicopter that had flown out to search for a MiG-21 fighter shot down by Ukraine. The crew died (the standard crew of such a helicopter is three people).

3. 3 March - Estonian bulk carrier Helt is blown up by a Ukrainian sea mine off the coast of Odessa. 4 people are missing.

4. 10 March - A Ukrainian Tu-141 "Strizh" UAV crashes near Zagreb. Fortunately, there are no fatalities.

5. March 13 - Ukrainian territorial defense troops shot up the car of American New York Times journalist Brent Renaud near Irpen.

6. 9 September - A Romanian minesweeper was blown up by a Ukrainian naval mine near Constanta. Fortunately, there were no fatalities.

7. November 9 - A Turkish boat is blown up by a Ukrainian sea mine off the coast of Turkey. Fortunately there were no casualties.

Pretty sure this was a Puma that crashed due to bad weather. Romania doesn't have Mi-8 outside of the police.

A mix of several Russian T-80's and T-72 taking turns to fire on targets(its called tank carousel, apparently) in Donetsk. Long video and shows the intensity of combat in some areas.

“The President of Ukraine showed footage of the assembly of Ukrainian sea drones. The same kamikaze boats were recently used in Sevastopol. The length of the new marine drone of Ukraine will be 5.5 meters, the cruising range is 800 km, and the operational range is 400 km. It is reported that the drone has an autonomy of up to 60 hours. The total mass of the sea drone is about 1000 kg, the mass of the warhead is up to 200 kg. The travel speed can reach 80 km/h. The cost of the drone is currently $10,000. Now in Ukraine, a fundraising for the industrial production of this type of drones has been announced”

I don’t believe a single fact from this statement. The 200kg warhead alone will approach the $10,000 figure. Add to that the propulsion, cameras and communication equipment.

800km cruising range?Maybe, at 1kt “cruising” speed.

This thing is way smaller than a heavy torpedo, has at least 8 times the operational range and is able to attack a maneuvering frigate while costing 50 times less. Sounds like a wonder weapon.

Watching this video I started to wander about how this kind of operation possible without tanks.

Few dozen on foot walk there ,with RPGs and start to shoot the houses ?
Or on a pick up truck?

I get the feeling the Russians don't pull out the tanks from sotrage due the losses, but rather because there is way more need for them than anyone forecasted.

Scary, but this is a third side now if you think about it
It was Polish government spokespeople who had released this to the media.
To think, the don't fully vet the situation and are so willing to casually start world war 3...
So whose rocket was it and what really happened?

Some kind of fishing net arround Sevastopol port would be a nice solution.... For the range, it it's a 5.5m boat with same engine than a jet-ski, it can bring a lot of fuel with him. Price maybe is a bit optimist when a jet-ski cost more.
