The New York Times reports that at least one of these executives was walked out by security. Chief customer officer Sarah Personette was also fired, Insider reports.

The main thing Musk is going to do is to tie a payment system into Twitter ala Alipay. The closest thing in the west I can think of is Paypal.

A long time ago the trendy way to make money in China was to clone an overseas internet platform within the GFW and put a slightly Chinese spin on it. Now the internet ecosystem has advanced to such a degree that you could do the same in reverse and make money.

Where one goes on to create Palantir a Big data processing service and the other goes on to create electric vehicles and satellites that can generate big data amount that needs to be analysed.
