Funny, you're the one that argued so strongly that Americans are more open to foreign movies than Chinese. I just asked for examples and instead you just give a lot of digression. Like what does a free country have to do with your argument that Americans are more open to foreign movies?

What bothering you is since you seem to be the one deflecting.

My claim is China Film Bureau routinely place trade barriers on foreign films and the American government doesn't. Don't obfuscate the argument just because you can't bear the facts.

Wow, you seem to be getting emotional. Go back and look at how you responded to me arguing that Americans were more open to foreign movies than Chinese and then you contradicted yourself saying Chinese love Hollywood movies. How does that work in your universe?

You need to separate government actions from consumer preferences.

To wit-
1) America has little governmental barriers to organic Chinese films, but the government of China has high barriers to US movies. Get it? The focus here is official actions of governments.
2) Chinese consumers love Hollywood movies, that's why they pay good money watching them.

The take away is don't mix government actions with private individual preferences.

Why don't you take your own advice? I never brought up what the government does? You're the one that used the government's quota on foreign movies to then argue that Chinese weren't as open to foreign movies. You're the one mixing the government with individual Chinese preferences.

You ought to really keep track what you're arguing. That's why I know you're running on emotion and not fact. That's why you are unable to back up your arguments.

Here's the bottom line, Mace. Chinese movies don't do as well in the US, because Chinawood hasn't figured out what its targeted customers want. The solution is for Chinawood to learn the market and produce products Americans will pay to see. It's that simple.

That's not what we were discussing. This about you arguing against me that Americans are more open to foreign movies than Chinese. So that ain't the bottom line. That's you digressing again to avoid backing up your argument. Since you can't back up your argument that Americans are more open to foreign movies than Chinese, the bottom line is you're wrong! It's that simple. I only need one thing to prove my point and that's with your own statement that Chinese love Hollywood movies.

Don't misquote me, because I never said Americans are more open to Chinese movies. Reasonable people would read my posts on this topic and come to the conclusion I was talking about the American government being much more open to Chinese films than the Chinese government is to US films, and if you go back and carefully read what I wrote, you should be able to come to the same conclusion.

I never argued or said you said Americans are more open to Chinese movies. Quote me where I said that. This is about how you argued that Americans are more open to foreign movies than Chinese are open to foreign movies. Any reasonable person can go back and see how you're misleading. Again I never entered into conversation about the government. You did when you tried mixing the government's quota system as to argue Chinese individual preferences were not open to foreign movies.

Let's take you at your word, show me where I said Americans are more open to foreign movies than Chinese are open to foreign movies.

Chinese consumers seem to love Hollywood movies, but CCP restricts foreign movies to just a few dozen a year, so it's not true China is more open to foreign films than US. Not even close.

Did you realize you misread my post which is why you're not quoting me where I said what you think?
