South tibet may not that much important in the past due to logistical strain, but it is now and will continue to be so in the future due to climate change. The area held rain precipitation and chinese need those water to irrigated their vast desert. So weather Chinese themselves considering India as mortal enemies is not the point, but it's about fate and survival of china.
To be fair, Russia action in Ukraine is considered illegal according to international laws. So peace will only possible when absolute security achieved. China right now have ability to dismantle Russia if they want to so without causing war outbreak.

So it seems if Malaysia honors their MOU with the US, it will mean they will be obligated to seize Chinese rare earth refining/manufacturing facilities and equipment on their soil in alignment with US orders, laws, or policies. US customers (US military industrial complex first and foremost) will also have first rights to any Malaysian-produced rare earth metals and magnets. This while China and Malaysia were in the process of China helping Malaysia develop refining capabilities (though not clear on whether that includes manufacturing of the magnets or just refining). This is a clear betrayal to China and Malaysia should probably be punished very severely as it constitutes a threat to Chinese national security by threatening Chinese property and arming Chinese enemies.

Agreed. I don't doubt that there is a real risk of this in a post-Putin era, but for now the West is just doing everything it can to peel Russia and China off each other, no matter the lies, propaganda, fabrications, etc.

Did they say if those "Russian Elite" are actually in Russia? Or are they the Moscow Times?
If China were to divert water resources from South Tibet to arid regions of China, it would inevitably lead to water shortages in the downstream areas. The only consequence of such an action would be a humanitarian disaster, and China would absolutely not do such a thing. I believe you would also not want such a thing to happen.
The root cause of the Russia-Ukraine war was that Russia's survival environment was threatened. NATO's insistence on expansion despite Russia's security concerns was the root cause of this war. This war was triggered by NATO's pursuit of absolute security.
I do not condone Russia launching a war, but we need to understand Russia's concerns about its survival.
It's not china problems, so why would china care anyways when china is obligated to their own people and national survival are above all. It's has to choose between their own people survival or prevent disaster from population that china isn't obligated to
Chinese survival environment is also affect by Russian action to bring India to balance. We need to understand this as well

I don't know how to evaluate your statement. If you can't coexist amicably with your neighbor, then war is all that awaits you. Are you planning to commit "genocide" to completely eliminate the threat from your neighbor? That's an exaggeration, and I advise you to change that mindset as soon as possible.
Taking actions for one's own safety is understandable and acceptable; strengthening defenses is always the right thing to do. However, using aggressive behavior to achieve absolute safety is unacceptable.
