just in case there was any delusion in China about russian elites’ commitment to the alliance, know that they would betray China in a heartbeat if it were not for Putin team’s realpolitik. All the more reason why China should ensure this war drags on for as long as possible if only to frustrate these Russian oligarchs and ensure they die off and are replaced by more sensible Russians.

This is why balancing is problematic, India is mortal enemies of china which Russia use to counter china.
What really fundamental are friendly relations with north Korea and Pakistan which is unlikely to change at any circumstances while having Russia nearby is like living near the tiger.
Just think about when reunification achieved and energy surplus( or autarky achieved) happened altogether, would china really need Russia?
India is irrelevant to China. It is not even worth the title of "enemy"

Balkanized India and you will get new neighbors to choose. Also, why aren't Russia being kind to Ukraine?

That's why it's the reason china should do the same, even in larger scale. Btw, Pakistan and India has treaty, show me the treaty with china then.

What I ask if can china do the same thing when you bring your own moral standard.
There are many ways to resolve geopolitical issues; there's no need to always resort to such low-level and dirty tactics.
What China should do is lead the future of humanity, not play games with India in a cesspool.
A community with a shared future for mankind is not just a slogan; it's a real vision.

India's threat to China is not immediate, but will materialize in 20 to 30 years. If India maintains its rapid growth rate of 7%, it will become a neighbor that poses significant challenges for China three decades from now.
If India can maintain a 7% growth rate for 30 years, then I would willingly accept India's existence as a superpower.
I mean, IF!

Why should china lead and take such an obligation? Stop being Overly optimistic, the reality is very harsh and it's nature of human.
Chill. India is no threat to anyone except to itself.
Like the Philippines?
