Now, me being a MAGA law-and-order guy think somebody ought to report Walmart and their Chinese suppliers to the Chinese government. Gov't told them not to negotiate on prices.

They entertaining the idea of eating approx 30% of the tariffs. loll
Nobody can stop you from wishcasting, but if you can read above 6th grade you might notice Walmart wasnt successful were they, so what does that imply about whos paying 100% of tariff right now? lol

The actual news you posted is right now Americans are eating 100% and Walmart doesnt like it. Welp too bad

This is garments it’s pretty standard really, the margins are tiny on all sides, that’s why prices in the US has upped 30+%, so it’s not surprising Walmart and other big brands are trying it.

However, they are likely not going to succeed tho, hence the ‘pushing’ as stated in the article. There are not enough producers big enough to handle the volumes they are expecting, and trying out a new vendors takes a long time to guarantee quality in large volumes. Despite all the BS about sweatshops, skill and scale matters so much more in garments as it’s one of industries most difficult to fully automate.

They shouldn't eat any of the tariff costs. If the alternative is to lose the US market (and Walmart's patronage), that's just an unfortunate cost of (economic) war that has to be written off. There will be pains to the Chinese manufacturing industry from Trump's tariffs; but it's better to bear those now than to continue with the band aid and give Trump more leverage.

Chinese suppliers didn’t tell Walmart to fuck off.
Instead they still talking. So clearly they value the relationship. Eventual compromise for any relationship to work.

Pushing the goal line again. "Win trade war with China," became, "Get China to talk eventually." And "China will pay the tariffs," became, "They didn't tell us to fuck off." LOLOL

According to whom? "Industry sources?" LOL Try that shit and watch the CCP kick Walmart out of China; any Chinese factory/company can literally report this to the government and end Walmart's operation. What leverage are they negotiating with? Pretty please?

By the way, the article you cited, basically said that there were wishful negotiations for the future but it confirmed everything you had been hoping were not true, which is that up to now, and up to August at the very least, Americans have bore the entire cost of the tariffs.

"Walmart and other major US retail groups previously agreed to bear the full cost of the tariffs when they asked their Chinese suppliers to resume shipments in late April, industry sources

."

"Walmart agreed to cover the full cost of any tariffs until August in its previous deals with the stationery maker, but the US retailer has yet to place any orders beyond August."
That’s why I love you guys. This keeps on getting funnier. Go ahead and vote. I’ll need some popcorn.
That's why we love you. Since the tariffs, doormat prices have gone up, but you're providing one for free!

I am not sure what you are trying to imply, no business will tell a big customer to just fuck off. Not even the mighty US businesses if they can help it.
Instead they still talking. So clearly they value the relationship. Eventual compromise for any relationship to work.
Keeping the talks going would be normal business modus operandi but the issue is on the compromise. The US businesses are unlikely to get anything near what they think they can get.

Plus there were talks way back that some manufacturer were willing to compromise more due to overall increase in costs mainly due to transportation increases.
