That's nowhere even close to Australia. Only when PLAAF awacs are within sight of australian beaches can they lodge that complaint fairly. Once Fujian can launch aircraft, that should be the first thing that happens. ELINT off the coast of Darwin.

Nowhere even close to Australia ? According to the news,Chinese ships was at Torres Strait

The ADF said on Thursday that three Chinese People’s Liberation Army vessels – a Jiangkai-class frigate, a cruiser and a replenishment vessel – have been observed operating near north-east Australia in recent days after passing through the Torres Strait.

Take a look at this map,see how close is Torres Strait to Australia

You are confused.

The complaint was about flares being used during an encounter with a P-8A in the South China Sea. There was no complaint about ships being in the Torres Strait.

The article also specifically said this:
Marles said the government was also “responding in a serious way” to the presence of the ships, even though China had acted “perfectly in accordance with international law”. He said did not believe there was a direct connection between the flares incident and the presence of the Chinese ships off the Australian coast.

Please note:
1. The tally for the submarines section may be subjected to inaccurate/outdated information.
2. Please note that the tally does not include:
- (Majorly) Transportation platforms (LPD, LST etc);
- Refueling and replenishment platforms (AOE, AOR etc);
- Special mission platforms (AGM etc);
- Warships that are smaller than FFGs (FFL etc); and
- Warships that are not expected to serve into the 2030s.

Aussies didn't even take photos? Lame:confused:. Be like JMSDF.

They did, and some very nice ones at that.

Whoops, I missed that one.

Nope, none of the 8 093B SSNs built so far has entered service, as far as the information available so far. Even if one or more 093Bs have already entered service, it's highly probable that we may not even know for quite some time thereafter.

Thanks for the correction. Rectification will be published in the next update post.
