What we need is a complete change in our political system, we need to undergo a bloody revolution to make a clean start, you have witness the physical fissure when your president is from Northern Luzon and your VP is from Mindanao. That in itself a reflection of the division inside the country, if the Duterte's are being treated unkindly or assassinated, you will see Mindanao seceding with the Visayas (except for Tacloban city) following suit, for these 2 regions they see the people from Luzon especially Imperial Manila as colonizer and an extension of the US and oligarchy rule. Its all relative I think. Sure its messed up. But there are levels to this with the highest being inherently messed up with no way of ever been fixed. One reason I believe is because of human capital. There enough Chinese or part Chinese guys to try and make something out of the country no matter how bad it is. They can be somewhat taught.
I don't think PH can reach the top of messed up levels....yet.
"China strongly opposes Paraguay's groundless accusation against a Chinese envoy, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday."
Paraguay hosted a Unesco meeting.
Speaking of PH, wasnt it during Pres Duterte that t3rr0rsts attack a city in south PH? Wasnt it during his transit to see Putin? Curious timing tho...You know with whats being going on with Syria, it has given me a new found respect for the Philippines. Despite their complete mess ups lately like their President and VP accusing each other of wanting to murder each other, they can fight better than one would assume for such a messed up state.
When ISIS came in, Duterte was more than happy to finally kill someone like he promised in his campaign slogans. Couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to show off his strongman side and was given full support to do so. Then we had the Siege of Marawi where all those terrorists got buried six feet under within a few months. No questions asked, just get the job done. Shows they at least deserve to be not blatantly overlooked.
If they were some middle east country, I bet they would be still fighting right now. Assad had over a decade with Russia/Iran buying him time and doing the heavy lifting. Its really annoying seeing countries that don't try hard enough to stand up for themselves to make a coherent state.
Yup and Putin send him some arms to fight the terrorist BUT the delivery was done after the Marawi siege had been won. This incident is a baptism of fire for Duterte and he came out blazing in glory , one of his lasting and memorable legacy. Compare that with Pinoy his predecessor handling of Mamasapano incident were 44 SAF soldiers were massacre, you can see the difference in the caliber of leadership. That is why the rank and file and the Junior officers love and adore him, and why Marcos is so jittery. He can't implement martial law to prolonged his rule like his father does so his only option is to discredit his opponent with the help of the Americans, he had sold his soul to the devil for the price of power and retrieving his family wealth and from what I'm seeing he may loses both.Speaking of PH, wasnt it during Pres Duterte that t3rr0rsts attack a city in south PH? It was. Putin even said something like seems you have to cut your trip short to deal with terrorists. Its understandable. We are are ready to provide the support you need.Speaking of PH, wasnt it during Pres Duterte that t3rr0rsts attack a city in south PH? Wasnt it during his transit to see Putin? Curious timing tho...
See, but this was during Duterte. He has always been known to act and get results even as a mayor. If the Marawi siege were to happen under Marcos Jr., half of Mindanao would have been under ISIS/Maute control. There’s a reason Marcos Sr. preferred his sister over him. People around the family knew that his father did not see him as someone who had the acumen for governance. As much of an American stooge Marcos Sr. was, at least much of his action were predicated with some sense of nationalism. Marcos Jr. doesn’t have that. He’s simply a spoiled coked-up, western-educated Amboy. You know with whats being going on with Syria, it has given me a new found respect for the Philippines. Point is at least PH has someone like Duterte who can use the human capital of the country to get things done. They have shown potential if they are able to get their stuff sorted out once every blue moon. They deserve a better leader than the one right now.See, but this was during Duterte.
